It's 2021. We're in our third lockdown. I have more time on my hands than I know what to do with, which has lead me back here.
I never meant to abandon this blog, life just got a bit... complicated. So before I dive right into the deep end with my next blog post, I thought I'd play catch up.

I was diagnosed with diabetes 21 years ago. The big 2-1.
And yet, this is the first time I will actually acknowledge my diaversary. It's not that I haven't thought about it, I've just never made it a 'celebration', per se. But this year is different. The more I thought about it, the more I realised this year has had a lot of 'firsts'. This year has changed me as a person, hopefully for the better. I wanted to contribute to Diabetes Blog Week but I didn't quite know how, so I spent Tuesday documenting my day to show you the (literal) highs and lows of life. Hopefully my day won't be too boring...
I should also apologise in advance because I'm writing this throughout Tuesday and probably Wednesday morning so I will keep swapping tense. I'll try my best to make sense.
So, here it is... the first post.
Well actually, I've created that many 'blog' sites trying to start this thing and never fully committed. This time will be different! I'm quite liking the Weebly life. Let's start with some honesty. I've borrowed these questions from Hanna, read her interview here. I also missed out/merged a few questions... so there probably isn't 30. I thought I'd start with this Q&A so you can get to know a bit more about me and my diabetes. Diabetes doesn't define me as a person but it is the main focus of this blog, so I suppose the facts would be a good start. I'm sure I'll start rambling on about the more fun things in my life soon enough... |
